Kenny finished 4th in RAAM Enduro!

11 days, 4 hours and 47 minutes of pure hell....

Congratulations Kenny! I am sure the race was much harder than you expected especially getting sick along the way. You pulled out an awe inspiring finish time.

Here is a classic clip....

Friday, June 16, 2006

Kenny is a stud! Catches a pneumonia, drops several places, takes a 7 hour break then an 11 hour break drops to 9th place, hammers up one of the hardest climbs and now he is back in fourth place 7 hours behind Tinker (That may sound like a lot of time but, in actuality it's not that bad).

Go Kenny! My prayers are with you....

Kenny is killing it right now! Early yesterday he was complaining of pneumonia symptoms. His crew forced him to take a longer stop to get some rest. He is back to Souza form his last Time station AVG speed was over 20mph!

Go Kenny!

Are you stylin'?

I have to get a new repair stand. My current stand (I bought it 11 years ago) is driving me nutz! After using it for a while the legs move which means the stand tilts, AH!

It's time for me to look at my options. I know what I want. It's on my list. Now, I just need to figure out how to get it. If anyone is thinking about a present for me here are the spec's.

Pedro's Rockstand Portable

I need to see if they do industry deals cuz this thing is expensive. It retails for $550.00.

In other news; RAAM started today for the Solo Enduro racers (including Kenny and Tinker). I will post updates as I receive them.

Pabst Blue Ribbon

How can someone not like beer that costs $6.00 for a 12-pack? Sure, it's not the latest basement brew from Blah/ Blah brewery. It has great flavor, you can dring 8 or 9 without a hangover and it costs $.50 per can....

Now if I could only find Schlitz out here in Cali.....

Keith Anderson is making frames again!!!

Well most of you do not know what or who I am talking about. I guess it's been 13 years or so since I ordered my first true custom frame. It was fillet brazed, hand filed and hand painted by Keith himself (although I think his wife painted the frames). Kieth Anderson was located in Indianapolis, IN when I ordered the frame but, by the time it was delivered he had moved to Moab, UT. My frame has a sterling silver Kokopeli headbadge that signifies the move. Originally I was going to have the frame painted a really ornate design but, decided on horizontal stripes of aqua and navy metallic with yellow decals. I love that frame. I think that's why after all these years I have never sold it. It has been built up as my only road bike, singlespeed, fixed gear, etc. It is now time to rebuild, breath some new life into it. Maybe it will be my commuter. I need another bike in my house right?

Checkout Keith's website at;

Tomorrow is going to be hectic. I want to ride my road bike, I have to pick up some parts for a buddy at the shop and then deliver them at his house and prep his bikes for the RAAM (Race Across America, starts Sunday from Oceanside California). Then 007, legs, the colonel and I are going out! Too much to do, too little time.

Shaved Poodle, if you are out there. I'll try to pick up some more Builder's Bars at KSs'.

I always wanted a Charger. Of course mine would have been orange or black maybe....
Pepe le peu got me sick this week after dropping me off at the casa. Airborne saved me from weeks of agony. Although for some reason, now my hands are peeling. Wierd I know.

Last night abunch of guys from B&L, Cinnamon Star, Vanilla and I went for a night ride. The pace was a little upsetting (really, really fast) but, CS, Jens and I rode our own pace way back. I had a good time. Hopefully the promoter will keep the ride going every week, doubtfull though.

Have you ever had a "Sidral Mundet"? Someone is selling it online for $1.65 a 10.5oz bottle. I purchased at Albertson's for $.75. Tastes good, it's an apple soda not too sweet but, really smooth.

iTunes:
Run DMC "Mary, Mary.."

Socks:
Japan Crew

Bike in the stand:
SyCip Diesel in for a fork swap.

The Colonel, Legs, Pele, Uptown Shirt and I went to Fletchers Cove (Solana Beach) to see Hank 3 (Hank Williams 3) tonight. I am a sucker for any band with a fiddle and a slide guitar. Boy were there some freakshows at that concert. Between the guy projectile vomiting to "The Dude" (Big Lebowski) to the guy riding in on the pink furrry bike with matching hair and purse, there was plenty to watch.

Fo some reason they decided to close the beer garden early, bad move. We returned to the Colonels seaside apartment. After hearing some hillbilly music (reminding me of home) I stopped at the local "entertainment store" and picked up a twelver of PBR.

Good times!

I am Evil. Not your everyday run of the mill Evil, just pure Evil....

Do you remember Caddyshack? Do you remember the scene with Ty Webb (Chevy Chase) and Carl Spackler (Bill Murray) where they are in Carl's house. TY is looking for his ball and Carl invites him to sit down but, he says "He doesn't want to touch anything".

That's my house right now.....yuck.

Bike in the stand:
Merlin Extralight

iTunes:
Tupac "How long will they mourn me?"

Socks:
Dopers Suck

Rock-n-Roll Marathon this weekend, ya. I am working the expo Saturday with the shaved poodle and the colonel. If you are there look for the green e-z-up.
